“It's not the journey. It's who's along for the ride.”

Patrick (Richard Roxburgh) is an old race car driver with a secret past, and he has no plans to share it with the teenager who keeps turning up at the track. That teenager is Jack Hooper (William Lodder), a larrikin from a Western Australian kart racing community who has just found the one thing he's good at. Owen Trevor sets Jack against the ruthless champion Dean Zeta (Cooper van Grootel), and he leaves them with the National title still ahead.
