Go Go Tales

Ray Ruby (Willem Dafoe) owns a go-go club and wants only to keep the doors open one more night, though the money is gone and the owners are fighting over who owes what. Abel Ferrara, calling it his first intentional comedy, had the cast improvise much of their lines, so Asia Argento, Matthew Modine and Bob Hoskins talk over one another like regulars at the bar. Under the noise sits a plain idea: a place like this is a home for the people who drift into it.
