God Is Brazilian

“It could be a serious mission, if it wasn't so funny.”

God (Antônio Fagundes) wants a vacation, and before He can leave, He needs a saint to run the universe in His absence. He goes down to the Northeast of Brazil, where He's heard of a very good man for the job. Carlos Diegues sends Him along the backroads with Taoca (Wagner Moura), a young drifter who attaches himself to the search, and the two spend their days together on the road.
