God on Trial

Inside a barracks at Auschwitz during the Second World War, a group of Jewish prisoners gather after dark and decide to put God on trial. They follow the old tradition of arguing with Him, and the charge is that He has broken His covenant with the Jewish people. Andy De Emmony stages it as a play written by Frank Cottrell-Boyce, with men like Moche (Dominic Cooper) and Hugo (David de Keyser) weighing whether faith can be defended while the selections go on outside.
