Godfather

Two houses stand in feud in this 1991 Malayalam comedy-drama, the Anjooran family and the Anappara family, each with its own men, grudges and long memory of the other. Siddique-Lal take Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet as the frame and let the quarrel play for laughs as often as for menace. Ramabhadran (Mukesh) belongs to one side and falls in love with someone from the other, and neither family has any use for the idea.
