“A mother's love forsaken.”

Aileen O'Hara (Emily Watson) works the fish plant in a windswept village, and her son Brian (Paul Mescal) comes home after years away, which she takes as a gift. Then Brian is accused by Sarah Murphy (Aisling Franciosi), and Aileen tells one lie to protect him. Saela Davis and Anna Rose Holmer follow what that lie does to a family and a town where everyone knows everyone, and how far a mother's love can bend what she knows to be right.
