Godspell

“A Musical Based on the Gospel According to St. Matthew”

A voice in modern-day New York calls out to a scattering of young men and women, and one by one they drop what they are doing and follow it. David Greene gathers them around Jesus (Victor Garber) and John / Judas (David Haskell), who teach through song and dance. The group takes up that teaching together, and a crucifixion is waiting for the man at its center.
