A Japanese fishing boat is found drifting, its crew dead, and no one can say what happened to them. The trail leads to a creature the country thought it had buried thirty years earlier, and the cast that works the problem includes Prime Minister Mitamura (Keiju Kobayashi) and Steve Martin (Raymond Burr). Koji Hashimoto and R.J. Kizer bring back the nuclear dread of the 1954 original: the monster is what the bomb left behind.
