The crustacean-like organisms turning up in Japan seem to have grown out of the Oxygen Destroyer, the weapon that dissolved the first Godzilla. Dr. Kensaku Ijuin (Takuro Tatsumi) and Yukari Yamane (Yoko Ishino) are drawn in as a burning Godzilla comes ashore at Hong Kong, close to meltdown. Takao Okawara has the whole country in the path of one reactor that could go critical at any moment.
