Godzilla vs. Hedorah

“The Smog Monster Hedorah arrives in a shooting star!”

Dr. Toru Yano (Akira Yamanouchi) wants someone to listen about the sludge-fouled bay, where a strange organism is feeding on the pollution. His young son Ken (Hiroyuki Kawase) keeps a drawing pad close, and Yoshimitsu Banno, in his first feature, lets the creature spread through the water and the air as it grows. Its sulfuric acid mist hangs low over the coast, and the shoreline is left gray and slick.
