Godzilla vs. Mechagodzilla

“Flying through space and firing missiles! A dreadful Godzilla, whose whole body is a weapon, appears!”

Keisuke Shimizu (Masaaki Daimon) wants to know why Godzilla has suddenly come ashore to level cities again, after years as Japan's protector. His search runs through an Okinawan prophecy that warns of the Earth's destruction, and then a second Godzilla appears, one that turns out to be a mechanical weapon. Jun Fukuda stages the fights up close, and the two Godzillas stand together in the rubble, one flesh and one steel.
