Going the Distance

Erin (Drew Barrymore) leaves New York for San Francisco to finish her journalism degree, and Garrett (Justin Long), who works in the music industry, stays behind. They try to keep the romance going on webcams and frequent-flyer miles. Nanette Burstein follows them through the late-night calls and the airport goodbyes, and each of them gets a career break that could keep them apart. Erin has to decide how much of her own plan she is willing to give up for him.
