Gol Maal

In 1979 India, Ram Prasad Sharma (Amol Palekar) is a young man after a job at the firm of Bhavani Shankar (Utpal Dutt), a strict, orthodox boss. To get it, Ram tells one small lie, and when Bhavani Shankar grows suspicious, he has to tell another to cover the first. Hrishikesh Mukherjee, working from a script by Rahi Masoom Raza and Sachin Bhowmick, keeps the whole thing light and quick, with an R. D. Burman score under it.
