“Prove 'em all wrong”

Kenny Wells (Matthew McConaughey) runs a failing prospecting outfit, and he has no good ideas left. So he goes looking for Michael Acosta (Edgar Ramírez), a geologist with a theory that gold lies buried deep in the uncharted Indonesian jungle, and the two stake everything on it. Stephen Gaghan keeps the camera moving and the pace quick, loosely following the real 1997 Bre-X mining scandal.
