“The Dream That United Our Nation”

Balbir Singh (Akshay Kumar) is a hockey team manager in 1948 who has chased one thing for years: an Olympic gold for India, a country that has only just become its own. He starts pulling a team together while the nation is still reckoning with independence. Reema Kagti puts Balbir's wife Monobina (Mouni Roy) at the edge of every setback, the one person who keeps believing in him when his own plan looks too big.
