Gold and Copper
Seyed Reza (Behrooz Shoeibi) has just moved his family to Tehran to study the Koran, while his wife Zahra (Negar Javaherian) weaves the rugs that pay their way. One evening she collapses and is diagnosed with multiple sclerosis, and Seyed is left to cook, change diapers and take his toddler son along to classes. Homayoun Assadian films the household's days with plain, steady attention, giving a clergyman's domestic life the same weight as his studies.
