Dick Curtis (Dick Powell) is a young man spending his summer at a posh New England resort, where a wealthy widow, her daughter and her son have also come to vacation. Romance strikes the guests, and Alice Brady's Matilda Prentiss, Adolphe Menjou's Nicolai Nicoleff and Hugh Herbert's T. Mosley Thorpe all get tangled up in it. This was Busby Berkeley's first time directing, and the money and the whole sprawling cast are riding on whether his debut works.
