Golda
“Israel, 1973... One woman stood between victory and defeat.”
Golda Meir (Helen Mirren) is Israel's prime minister in 1973, a chain-smoking woman in her seventies whose cabinet has never fully trusted her. When the Yom Kippur War begins, Guy Nattiv keeps her in cramped offices and phone calls with Henry Kissinger (Liev Schreiber), the country's survival resting on decisions made across nineteen days. She answers to a cabinet that doubts her and to the families of the dead, and she carries both at once.
