Golden Eighties

In a shopping center, the day's trade is already underway, and the shopkeepers and customers keep breaking into song. Sylvie (Myriam Boyer) and Jeanne (Delphine Seyrig) are among the women working the arcade, and three of them are vying for the same man's heart. Chantal Akerman uses the mall as her stage, and the film takes its romance, its shopping, and its sense of who belongs there equally seriously.
