“No limits. No fears. No substitutes.”

Someone has stolen a secret defense system, and the trail leads to a Russian crime syndicate that means to use it. James Bond (Pierce Brosnan) is sent to stop them, working alongside the programmer Natalya Simonova (Izabella Scorupco) and meeting the assassin Xenia Onatopp (Famke Janssen). Martin Campbell sets it all in motion with the first Bond for Brosnan, and the man waiting at the other end is Alec Trevelyan (Sean Bean), a former MI6 agent.
