Pernat (Marek Walczewski) sits in a police interrogation, accused of a murder he cannot remember, and he cannot remember his own life either. Released into a dystopian future, he moves among raving lunatics, deranged dentists, murderous doctors, and scientists who believe the secret of making a person lies inside a cast-iron oven. Piotr Szulkin keeps Pernat at the center, a man in a dull coat asking plain questions, while the oven waits behind the scientists' walls.
