Gomorrah

In the province of Naples and Caserta, the Camorra sets the rules, and nearly everyone living there has to follow them. Matteo Garrone cuts between several people caught under the clan's hold, among them Don Ciro (Gianfelice Imparato), Maria (Maria Nazionale) and Franco (Toni Servillo), based on Roberto Saviano's book. Garrone shoots the housing blocks and back streets plainly, close in, with none of the polish crime films usually bring.
