Gone Baby Gone

“Everyone wants the truth... until they find it.”

A four-year-old girl, Amanda McCready, is gone from her mother's apartment in Dorchester, and the police have little to show for their search. Her aunt hires Patrick Kenzie (Casey Affleck) and Angie Gennaro (Michelle Monaghan), two private detectives with almost no experience in missing-child cases, because they grew up on these same streets. Ben Affleck puts them in neighborhood kitchens and bars, working side by side, leaning on each other harder as it goes.
