Gone to Earth

“Lost... lost in a love she was helpless to resist!”

In the Welsh countryside of the early twentieth century, Hazel Woodus (Jennifer Jones) lives close to the land and keeps a pet fox she will not part with. Two men come for her: John Reddin (David Farrar), a squire who hunts foxes, and the gentler Edward Marston (Cyril Cusack), the local pastor. Powell and Pressburger shot it in Technicolor, and the fox, the hounds and Hazel's own freedom all stand to be lost.
