“Five men... two killers... one massacre...”

Mikihiko Bandai (Koichi Sato) is a man with money troubles who wants out from under them, and the way out is a plan to rob the local yakuza. Takashi Ishii gathers five men around the job, among them Junichi Mitsuya (Masahiro Motoki) and Ichiro Kyoya (Takeshi Kitano), each carrying a different reason for needing the cash. They barely know one another, and the film keeps asking how much a stranger will risk for a man he met a week ago.
