“Some people only learn the hard way.”

Chris (Stephen Graham) and Kathryn (Andrea Riseborough) take a 19-year-old criminal into their home, convinced they can fix him through discipline and care. What begins as an experiment in rehabilitation tightens into confinement and coercion, each method they try pushing further into moral territory they didn't plan to cross. By the end, the question is not whether the boy can change, but what his presence has done to the two of them.
