Good Bye, Lenin!

Alex (Daniel Brühl) is a young East Berliner whose mother (Katrin Sass), a devoted Party believer, falls into a coma in October 1989 and wakes eight months later. The doctors warn that any shock could kill her, and in the meantime the Wall has fallen and the country she believed in is gone. Wolfgang Becker follows Alex as he turns their small flat into the East Germany she remembers, lying to her out of love.
