Good Night, and Good Luck.

(2005)Directed by George Clooney93 min · PGDrama, History
“We will not walk in fear of one another.”

In the early 1950s, the newsroom at CBS fills with cigarette smoke while Senator Joseph McCarthy's hunt for communists spreads across the country. Edward R. Murrow (David Strathairn) and his producer Fred Friendly (George Clooney) decide to take McCarthy on through their broadcast, with the network's executives watching nervously. Clooney keeps the story in black and white, and Strathairn sits under the studio lights, a cigarette burning between his fingers.
