Goodbye Berlin

“The Best Summer of All!”

Maik Klingenberg (Tristan Göbel), fourteen and mostly ignored at school, climbs into a stolen car with Tschick (Anand Batbileg), the new kid in his class, and drives out of Berlin at the start of the summer holidays. Fatih Akin sends the two of them east across Germany with no map and no plan. Two boys who barely know each other spend a few weeks learning what it is to be on their own.
