Goodbye Pork Pie

In Kaitaia, Gerry Austin (Kelly Johnson) hires a car on a stolen licence and takes off down the length of New Zealand, with John (Tony Barry) beside him, a man whose wife has just left. Their destination is Invercargill, at the very bottom of the South Island. Geoff Murphy sends the pair down the roads with the law behind them, and each mile makes it harder for either of them to turn around.
