Gorillas in the Mist

“At the far ends of the earth she found a reason to live, and a cause to fight for.”

In the mountains of central Africa, Dian Fossey (Sigourney Weaver) arrives to study the mountain gorillas, sent on by Dr. Louis Leakey (Iain Cuthbertson). Michael Apted follows her as she settles into a camp high in the cloud forest, where photographer Bob Campbell (Bryan Brown) comes to document her work. The gorillas are vanishing, and what she has staked on them grows larger than the research.
