“Tea at four. Dinner at eight. Murder at midnight.”

In November 1932, a house party gathers at Gosford Park, an English country estate, for a weekend of shooting. Robert Altman fills the rooms with guests and the servants who wait on them, and a murder after dinner draws suspicion across both floors. Constance Trentham (Maggie Smith) holds court upstairs while her maid listens below, two women bound by the house's rules.
