Government Woman 2

A routine morning send-off for her husband Aziz Veysel (Ercan Kesal) goes off in Xate Nuroğlu's (Demet Akbağ) face, and with it the old rivalry with Faruk (Sermiyan Midyat), a man hungry for power. The film is a prequel set seven years before the first one, with Xate still living in her husband's shadow, a step from becoming the region's first female mayor. Sermiyan Midyat pits Xate and Faruk against each other once snap elections are called.
