Grace Is Gone

“A story about one father's love and courage”

During the Iraq war, two officers arrive at the door of Stanley Philipps (John Cusack) with news that his wife, a soldier in the U.S. Army, has been killed. He cannot make himself tell his daughters, Heidi (Shélan O'Keefe) and Dawn (Gracie Bednarczyk), so he takes them on a road trip, still hunting for the right place to say it. Jim Strouse keeps Stanley behind the wheel, his daughters talking in the back seat, the news held in his chest.
