“A father will do anything to save his daughter's future”

Romeo Aldea (Adrian Titieni) is a doctor in a Transylvanian town who has spent years steering his daughter Eliza (Maria Dragus) toward a scholarship in the UK. The day before her final exams, she is assaulted and injured, and he decides to do whatever it takes to keep her place secure. Cristian Mungiu follows him as he calls in favors, and every favor owed puts his own good name at stake.
