Grand Canyon

“A story of friendship and other natural wonders.”

Mack (Kevin Kline), an immigration lawyer, is driving home when his car dies in a rough neighborhood of Los Angeles, and the one who shows up to help is Simon (Danny Glover), a tow truck driver. Lawrence Kasdan builds the film around the two men and the people close to them, among them Claire (Mary McDonnell) and Davis (Steve Martin). The city keeps dividing people by race and money, and they have to decide whether to cross.
