Why would a schoolteacher in Rio who has spent years in a classroom suddenly want a diamond vault emptied during Carnival? Giuliano Montaldo follows Professor Anders as he recruits four experts: a safecracker, a master thief, a mechanical genius, and a playboy, among them Jean-Paul Audry (Robert Hoffmann) and Erich Weiss (Klaus Kinski). The planning is the pleasure, each specialist handed one small piece of a job none of them could finish alone.
