Grand Theft Parsons

“It's better to burn out than to fade away.”

Gram Parsons has just died of an overdose, and his body is headed to Louisiana for the funeral his father wants. His road manager Phil Kaufman (Johnny Knoxville) borrows a hearse and sets off with five gallons of petrol, since the two men once promised each other the Joshua Tree desert. David Caffrey follows the drive as a promise between friends, kept long after only one of them is left to keep it.
