Green Book

“Inspired by a True Friendship.”

Tony Lip (Viggo Mortensen) is a bouncer in the Bronx in 1962 who needs work while his club is closed. He takes a job driving the pianist Don Shirley (Mahershala Ali) on a tour of the Deep South, with a copy of The Negro Motorist Green Book in the glove box. Peter Farrelly puts the two men in one car for weeks, and Tony, who writes letters home to his wife Dolores (Linda Cardellini), keeps finding out how little he knows.
