“A Blooming Comedy...Based on a True Story”

Colin Briggs (Clive Owen) is handed a packet of seeds in an open prison and told to put them in the ground, and the patch he tends keeps growing until a flamboyant gardening expert, Georgina Woodhouse (Helen Mirren), takes notice. She offers to sponsor the inmates for the Hampton Court Flower Show. It is loosely based on the men of HMP Leyhill, and Joel Hershman plays it as a broad, kind-hearted comedy about men who find they are good at one thing.
