Gregory's Girl

(1980)Directed by Bill Forsyth91 min · PGComedy, Romance
“This has to be the match of the day...”

Gregory (John Gordon Sinclair) is a gangly schoolboy in Cumbernauld who has just lost his place in the football team and, almost in the same week, his head over the girl who took it. Dorothy (Dee Hepburn) is a better player than any of the boys, and Gregory sets about asking her out with great nerves and no plan. Bill Forsyth gives the scheming to his friends and the confusion to Gregory, and the two of them end up on a date that neither expected.
