Gretel & Hansel

“A grim fairy tale.”

Gretel (Sophia Lillis) needs food and work, and she will walk her little brother Hansel (Samuel Leakey) into a dark wood to find either. Deep in the trees they come upon a house and a woman (Alice Krige) who welcomes them in, though the offer of shelter feels too easy. Osgood Perkins builds it in hard geometry and saturated color, with a slow, unsettling pace.
