Grip of the Strangler

“KING OF THE MONSTERS! KARLOFF IN HIS NEW HORROR HIT!”

James Rankin (Boris Karloff) is a writer convinced that the man hanged for a string of murders twenty years ago was innocent, and he sets about proving it. Robert Day follows him through the old case files as the doubts spread, with Supt. Burk (Anthony Dawson) watching over a past he would rather leave closed. Rankin's wife Barbara (Elizabeth Allan) sees her husband grow more distant with every record he opens.
