The Guardians are torn apart when Rocket (Bradley Cooper) is captured and held by the High Evolutionary, a mad scientist bent on perfecting life itself through horrific experiments. Peter Quill (Chris Pratt) and the rest of the crew, including Gamora (Zoe Saldaña), Drax (Dave Bautista), Nebula (Karen Gillan), and Mantis (Pom Klementieff), race across the galaxy to rescue him before the Evolutionary's plans reach their terrible end.
