“A comedy beyond the call of duty.”

Doug Chesnic (Nicolas Cage) is a Secret Service agent who has just finished a stint guarding Tess Carlisle (Shirley MacLaine), the widow of a former President, and he is ready to be rotated off. She asks for him to stay as her permanent detail. Hugh Wilson sets the two against each other, her whims and demands against his patience, and Doug starts looking for a way out of the job.
