Theresa Jones (Zoe Saldaña) has told her parents plenty about her fiancé, but not the one detail that will matter at the door: Simon Green (Ashton Kutcher) is white. Kevin Rodney Sullivan sets the weekend at the Joneses' house in a New Jersey suburb, where her father, Percy (Bernie Mac), takes one look at Simon and starts watching him. Percy needs to be convinced this man belongs with his daughter, and Simon needs Percy's approval to get there.
