Guest of Honour

In a Canadian prison, Veronica (Laysla De Oliveira), a high school music teacher, insists on serving time for a sexual assault she knows she did not commit. Her father, Jim (David Thewlis), a health inspector, works to get her released, while Atom Egoyan moves between them and the years behind their silence. Jim wants his daughter home, and Veronica seems set on staying where she is.
