Guilty Bystander

“How innocent can a bystander be?”

Max Thursday (Zachary Scott), a drunk and a washed-up ex-cop, wakes up to find his young son has been kidnapped after a smuggling deal went wrong. Joseph Lerner shot it entirely on location in New York City, and Max works through the case with Captain Tonetti (Sam Levene) watching him closely. His ex-wife Georgia (Faye Emerson) is the one person he cannot get away from, and the boy is all that still ties them together.
