Guns for San Sebastian

(1967)Directed by Henri Verneuil111 minWestern
“The epic of a town that became an army”

The village of San Sebastian sits empty, its residents hiding in the hills from the Indians who keep raiding it for supplies. Leon Alastray (Anthony Quinn), an outlaw sheltered by a priest, walks in as Father John's escort, and when the priest is murdered, the villagers decide Alastray is the priest. Henri Verneuil leaves him in the abandoned street, arguing that he is no priest, while the villagers don't believe a word.
