Guy Ritchie's The Covenant

“A bond. A pledge. A commitment.”

In Afghanistan in 2018, Master Sergeant John Kinley (Jake Gyllenhaal) leads a unit hunting weapons caches, and he hires a local interpreter named Ahmed (Dar Salim). After an ambush, Ahmed carries Kinley across miles of hostile ground to safety. Guy Ritchie follows Kinley home, where he learns the promised visas never came, and the man who saved him is still in Afghanistan, hunted by the Taliban.
